Casey Witters, MBA, CFP®
Casey is dedicated to adding structure to wealth building and financial planning. She uses her extensive personal and professional experience to help clients specify clear goals, develop a detailed plan, then implement and monitor that plan on an ongoing basis. Ultimately, Casey believes it is her duty to coach her clients into a lifelong growth mindset and act as their personal CFO by educating, guiding, and supporting them in making optimal financial decisions. Casey’s background has taught her to strongly believe in the values of integrity, discipline, and excellence. It’s also taught her that sincerely caring about others is foundational to serving them well. She has brought those convictions to her role as a financial advisor, a CEO and a presenter.
Her Story
Casey was raised in El Segundo, California. She attended the United States Air Force Academy where she competed as a NCAA Division I athlete who threw javelin in Track and Field. She commissioned as a 2nd Lt from USAFA with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management in 2007. While on Active Duty at Los Angeles Air Force Base, Casey was selected as the lead financial budget analyst and managed more than $80M. She proved to be a prudent and effective steward of government funds. As the Chief of the GPS Information Assurance Evaluation Team, she led more than sixty who were responsible for the security certification of the $1 billion+ GPS military code receiver programs. She also served as an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies at the University of Southern California Sol Price School of Public Policy.
Casey has experience managing hundreds of millions of dollars in client and government assets. She graduated with an MBA focusing on finance and investing from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. She received a Certificate of Personal Financial Planning from the University of California Irvine and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant. Casey earned the distinction of Premier Advisor six years straight, every year she was eligible while at Wells Fargo Advisors. In 2021, she founded Optimize Financial, an RIA, which she oversees as President and CEO.
Casey is married to John Witters and has two children from a previous marriage, Kelly and Joe. She loves spending quality time with her family and friends. Casey and John are also founders and lead pastors of New Creation Fellowship Church. They love helping their members grow in maturity and confidence in their faith in Jesus. Casey and John also thoroughly enjoy trying new restaurants, traveling and snowboarding. Casey is a passionate teacher and has spoken at churches, universities, high schools, and financial advisor forums on a number of topics. She has also given a TEDx talk on Embracing Discipline to an audience of 250+ teachers and educators.
